Today we have a vast array of links to share from the SharePoint community.  Before we get into that, I’d like to say thank you very much to all our SharePoint MVPs for their continued support and the knowledge they have shared in the past.  All of the SharePoint users, administrators, architects, developers, business analyst, etc are appreciative of your efforts and the work you have done.  So congratulations to those that have been honored once again with the SharePoint MVP 2007 award, and there’s no doubt in our minds, that you will continue to contribute to the SharePoint community for years to come.

• Features for SharePoint - Ted Pattison posts an article on MSDN where he introduces the fundamental building blocks you’ll use to create business solutions with WSS and MOSS.  Explains what a WSS “feature” is and shows you how to build one that automates the creation of new lists and document libraries within a site. Along the way we’ll add a custom application page to the custom business solution.  Read this article and check out the sample code. The end result is when the user clicks on either command button, the event handler runs code to generate a letter using the Office Open File Formats.
• MVP Reza of Top 10 Tips on Writing Better SharePoint Code fame, has another great post that you should check: Gradual Upgrade from SPS2003 to MOSS 2007 questionnaire.  He posts on his experience with dealing with gradual upgrades and what type of questions you should be asking yourself before the procedure.
• MVP Nick Swan has released the latest MOSS BDC and BDC Meta Man Knowledge Base
• Eric Stallworth posts about the art of sharepoint with site definitions, master pages and features
• The SharePoint Designer team teaches us how to use Javascript to Manipulate a List Form Field, in particular how to use a bit of Javascript to set default form values based on the query string
