Groove and Beyond Email - Download Extranet Collaboration Toolkit for SharePoint (ECTS) Beta
Monday, January 28, 2008, 16:39

As I’m constantly faced with trying to keep up with my SharePoint readings, I just read up on the Extranet Collaboration Toolkit for SharePoint Beta. Microsoft SharePoint Team blogged about it New Beta Extranet Collaboration Toolkit and I obviously forgot to read about it. This goes beyond what Groove and Email / Outlook can accomplish.
The Problem that this Solution is Trying to Solve: “on-site and off-site employees, vendor personnel, consultants and competitors” do not have a way to collaborate on a project
Microsoft is developing the Extranet Collaboration Toolkit for SharePoint Solution Accelerator. You can currently beta test this solution “to enable collaboration between internal employees and contractors and personnel outside the organization. It will include fully tested software required to provide these capabilities.”
Have you had an opportunity to test drive this beta? If so, how’s your experience been so far?
