Microsoft has recently launched the MSDN Code Gallery.  Its designed to be a single source for everyone within the Microsoft community to share source code, snippets and sample applications.   This was a huge request by everyone within the community and its finally here.  Just so that we all understand this is not a replacement for Codeplex.

MSDN Code Gallery is, at its core, simply a community enabled site where you can share developer enabling information and resources that will be integrated into the MSDN experience. Code Gallery is a pure storage site with no project management capabilities. If you need to manage a live code project, use Codeplex! Additionally, just like with Codeplex, the community can share their samples on Code Gallery as well. [source: FAQs]
