   Hi, I would -love- to have the Expression Studio as I have downloaded and been using the heck out of the trial versions of Expression Web and Expression Blend. I really really really would like to get the Studio so that I can continue to make the web a better place by developing Silverlight Web Parts. :)

   If not Expression, I would love to have the MOSS 2007 Best Practices book, too bad it’s not in this week. :)

   Hey, i would love to win the Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 Best Practices book or SharePoint Server 2007 Training Videos. They sounds really good as I’m just starting with Sharepoint and these should help me a bit.

   HI I am working on installation and configuration of MOSS 2007 on a standalone systema nd devlping application on Intellectual Property Management system in Sharepoint, I have no prior experience in Sharepoint, i have done all these through google and books.I would like to get “Sharepoint Server 2007 VideosLearn to Setup Your Own SharePoint Server - Step by Step!” so that i can know how to setup MOSS server in a better and efficient way. I want only this , no other choice.

   I’m chiming in about the Balsamiq Mockups which I didn’t know about prior to just looking at it. Money-wise, it’s the lesser of the products above, but it seems much more valuable to me. There are many times that I need to do a quick design but do not want to use Photoshop, etc., to do so. I primarily design UI functionality and some backend framework for SharePoint. This would be a good tool to help get concepts out the door.

   I am a contractor deployed to Iraq, working as a Web developer for the Iraq Assistance Group. Our job is to work with the Transition Teams – a Coalition Unit paired with a Iraqi Unit for the purpose of training the Iraqi Soldiers and assisting with security throughout Iraq. The IT department at Camp Victory Base, Baghdad has switched us from SharePoint 2003 to SharePoint 2007. 2007 is a fantastic product that holds many possibilities for the troops, who share their information through the Web. It would help me a great deal to have additional training, so I can provide the best product we can have. I am a very visual person who learns quickly by watching, listening and doing. The Training Videos would be perfect for that.

   I am in Iraq to help the our Soldiers and civilians to do the best job they can with the most up-to-date information. SharePoint is the perfect tool. I want to make sure I create sites, webparts and assist with Server maintenance to allow the troops to find information they need and provide information others need.

   I would like to have Ben Curry and Bill English’s book about SharePoint best practices. I have recently started a new job and my primary responsibility will be SharePoint development and administration. I am trying to learn as much as I possibly can about MOSS 2007.
   I don’t have any support to help me through my toils, and I think this book might help steer me in the right direction.

   I also want to put in a bid for a free copy of Balsamiq. As a SharePoint architect, I often find that hand-drawn model and wireframes are the quickest way to drive to agreement on a solution concept. At the same time, they can be hard to draw, and any changes require them to be redrawn from scratch. The “hand-drawn” look of Balsamiq is not only amusing, but a great way to get across to the my clients that the purpose of the diagram is to describe an application concept, not define the branding and look and feel.

   If given this software, I will put it to good use immediately on the two projects I’m currently working on.

   Now I would love to have vista ultimate, I’ve just installed the Vista Enterprise on my Work Machine, and I’m loving it, none of the complaints that I’ve heard a lot of people share. I would love to have the media center functionality on my home machine! Can you say netflix streaming to the xbox?

   Such a toss-up between the books - could I really ’shepherd’ all the game developers in house if I had the Shepherd’s Guide, or would I be better off with SP Best Practices? I think since I’m trying to herd folks in of varying backgrounds, I’d have to ask for Bogue’s book.
   P.S. Glad to see your Registration/password items seem to be working now–spent too many frustrating efforts to log in a few weeks ago.

    Hey

    I would love to win Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 because I’m a student (no $), I’m bored of XP; I’m studying computer networks so would like to test out the latest solutions out there.

    If not Vista, I would like to test out Expression Studio, I’m been working with sharepoint server for a year ( placement) and always been intrested in making user experience easy and effective.

    I’m quite deserving of winning the Microsoft Streets and Trips 2008. I recently got a Windows Mobile 6 device and getting customized maps created and sent to the phone would save me gallons of gas trying to find my way, this is not only great for me, it’s great for the planet and isn’t that great for all of mankind?

    Yeah, I’m stretching this a bit to the whole mankind thing but, I still think I should win.

    I would like to own the “Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 Best Practices” book by Ben Curry and Bill English.

    Not only are Ben and Bill handsome men, they’re quite powerful as well. I would love to learn the *right* way to do things in MOSS from such smart guys. Otherwise, I’ll continue to do things my way. And look where that has gotten me…to begging for a book that I would love to have.

    As a SharePoint developer sometimes called upon to advise and assist with administering SharePoint sites, the Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 Best Practices book would be so useful to make sure I am “ticking all the right boxes” on those many admin pages (oh, so very many admin pages!)

    Sure, I have read plenty of articles on the subject, but a book like that becomes a constant reference sitting right besides the keyboard, to be dipped into when needed, another bookmark added to another useful page.

    Hi
    I’d be delighted to win the Vista Ultimate because it would solve an immediate problem for me. Following a career change I’m building up my SharePoint development knowledge at home. I have a number of Virtual Machines, some self-built and some downloaded, and two host computers: one XP Home and one XP Pro. The latter is a lower spec machine and unable to run some VPCs. XP Home cannot run MS Virtual Server, so I use Parallels instead which is less feature-rich and involves time-consuming, and not always successful, conversions.

    If I won the Vista package I’d finally be able to use all my Virtual PCs. It would also give me that push to use Vista which I’ve been putting off and off …..and off.

    BTW, when exactly is Tuesday 21st July? ;o)

    Hi there,

    I am very interested in the SharePoint Server 2007 Best Practices book. I have recently landed a position with the responsibility of building out an Intranet Solution built off SharePoint. It is quite an intriguing position and offers challenges everyday. There is not a time I don’t ask myself how others would configure SharePoint Sites or set up permissions as an example. I think this book would alleviate some of the second guessing I am doing and further my confidence with MOSS.

    I can’t think of a better reference.

    Just to have a resource like the SharePoint Server 2007 Training Videos would be HUGE for me. I am doing my darnedest to learn as much as possible about MOSS 2007 & WSS 3.0 but feel totally inadequate as I work with the Jimmy Neutron of SharePoint, an absolutely brilliant young man (he’s my oldest sons age, for pete’s sake)who knows SharePoint like those amazing MVP’s out there, if not better. Anything to increase my knowledge and bring this old IT gal into the 21 century would be great!!

    As a soldier in Iraq that designs our Sharepoint Portal for over 10,000 viewers (rough estimate), I can think of no one else that deserves this more. Also due to the fact that I get paid next to nothing compared to my sharepoint designing civilian counterparts. And the Army won’t buy this software for me, so I would love to get

    Microsoft Expression Studio

    And I can start going into the myriad things I have to deal with on a daily basis that no one else does:

    Power Outages
    Cold Showers/No Showers
    Not the best food… nuff said
    IRAM threats and IEDs going off daily (maybe not on my base per se, but it could happen!)
    Having 2 other roommates shoved into a milvan container with a door (12′ x 30′)
    I can think of others, but I figure if this didn’t convince you, then nothing would.

    I would like to win Microsoft Streets and Trips 2008. I have used MS S&T 2003 upgraded to 2005 and it is a wonderful product. I recommend this software to anyone who wants a quick off-line counterpart to mapquest. BTW-The SharePoint Buzz is a great source of information for anything to do with SharePoint and a great RSS feed!

    I am the jack of all trades at my company and I am always creating mock-ups of screens. Usually I am using modified HTML , or gasp, PAINT and Irfan View. It is a horrible solution but it gets the job done with what I have. I would love this application, it would make my mockups look more professional and assist me in doing my job. I read this blog whenever this an update due to the fact I am the dedicated Sharepoint master as well.
