There’s one day to go before I announce the winners of this past week’s Free Software Giveaways - July SharePoint Buzz Giveaway.  As a reminder to everyone who has already commented or is about to comment, I’m only giving away the following tomorrow:

  1. Balsamiq Mockups
  2. Microsoft Streets and Trips 2008
  3. Windows Vista Ultimate with SP1
  4. Microsoft Expression Studio

Those of you that are making comments to win the books or training dvds will have to wait for a future contest and comment then.  All comments that are not about the prizes listed above, will not be counted.

      I would love to win the Balsamiq Mockup software. Over the last 6 months, I have moved from being a SQL Server DBA to assuming the role as the administrator / developer for our company’s intranet. We released on July 7th and it has been transformational already.

      However, the majority of the design work was done by a 3rd party consultant - and they have left us the keys and a tidy little invoice :) Moving forward, tweaks and new features are my responsibility.

      I’m excited about the possiblities of future features, tighter integration with other applications, and the introduction of workflow and work processes and could see that the mockup software would really be helpful in communicating that vision and functionality to stakeholders and other partners on the project.

      I think it would be cool for me to win “Balsamiq Mockups”.

      I am the jack of all trades at my company and I am always creating mock-ups of screens. Usually I am using modified HTML , or gasp, PAINT and Irfan View. It is a horrible solution but it gets the job done with what I have. I would love this application, it would make my mockups look more professional and assist me in doing my job. I read this blog whenever this an update due to the fact I am the dedicated Sharepoint master as well.
