I learned a valuable lesson during April: there’s a difference between finding the buzz that others are creating and creating your own. As much as I like finding the best of the best, creating genuine content or posting information that others haven’t gives you a huge benefit. This month was notable for some great discussions in the comments of entries such as these:
- April 2nd - 2007 SharePoint MVPs
- April 4th - How To Index Files using iFilter
- April 10th - Download 4 Example Master Pages for SharePoint 2007 (MasterPage.EXE)
- April 10th - The SharePoint 2007 Book Contest Winner Is…
- April 13th - How To Customize QuickLaunchMenu
- April 13th - Just Released! Visual How To’s for SharePoint 2007 on MSDN
- April 18th - Tips and Tricks for Wikis and Blogs in WSS 3.0
- April 18th - Review of TeamDirection’s IntelliGantt Plus
Giving Back
In the month of April, I had two contests, Win a FREE SharePoint 2007 Book! - SharePoint Buzz Contest and Review of TeamDirection’s IntelliGantt Plus. Both contests were well received by the community and I hope to continue giving back. If you have ideas on what other contest I can hold, please comment and let me know.
