If anyone is interested, I have 6 Pownce invites available. The application is not SharePoint related; however, I’m trying to get on the bandwagon with some of the latest apps and thought I’d share this one. Pownce is another Twitter competitor and I was intriguied with the application enough to actually try it out.
Pownce is a way to send stuff to your friends. What kind of stuff? You can send just about anything: music, photos, messages, links, events, and more.
Scoble takes the words out of my mouth on why do we care about this?
- It’s prettier than Twitter
- It has more features than Twitter
- And it was done by Kevin Rose of Digg fame
If you’d like to read some reviews before hand, check these keeping track of the Pownce Reviews. What do I think? I have used it for 5 mins and cant really give a proper review but thought it was cool service that others might want to give a spin. You can use Pownce either thru the website or via the AIR application. If you already have Pownce and would like to add me, my username is KDK
